From the G.S. - September 2024

This past month, my family and I had the privilege of attending the revival at Logan Christian Baptist Church. It was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Pastor Scott Heskett and the congregation, who made us feel right at home. There’s something special about being among fellow believers who genuinely embrace the spirit of hospitality and Christian love.

I encourage each of you to support and attend the revivals and special services in our association. These gatherings serve as a powerful reminder of our unity in the body of Christ and the continued work God is doing in our churches. I know there will be several mentioned in the messenger and will be keeping them on my schedule to visit and join in the worship.  Remember: We are one church.

Being part of the association means we should never walk alone. We share our burdens, celebrate our victories, and work together to advance the kingdom of God. As we gather for these revivals and other services, the fellowship we experience energizes us to go back to our local churches with a renewed sense of purpose and vision. It's a time to receive encouragement and to give it, to share in the collective mission of reaching the lost, and to see how God is working across our association.

I would also like to take a moment to introduce and welcome our new Assistant General Superintendent, Danny Deck. He is also the pastor of Bonser Run Christian Baptist Church but also in his new role within our association. I look forward to working alongside him as we continue to serve the churches in our association and follow God’s leading in this next chapter. Please join me in praying for Danny as he steps into this important position and for the continued growth of his ministry at Bonser Run.

I want to share that for the first time in quite a while, our association is completely debt-free! We have paid off all loans. This is an incredible milestone that allows us to move forward with a renewed focus on ministry and outreach without the weight of financial burdens. We do not want to squander this opportunity. Pray for us as we seek to be good stewards of the association.

In His Service,

Dr. Jeremy Kamer

General Superintendent

Christian Baptist Association
